Want to upgrade your front porch - without having to keep plants alive!? Here are the best faux plants for your front porch!
Nothing feels more like summer to me than a front porch covered in plants.
And trust me, I love plants.
One of the things that I most loved about our home when we bought it was the stacked double front porches.
This is a common style in homes in Charleston, but I was still thrilled to get one of my own!

However, over the 5 years that we have lived here, I have struggled to keep plants alive on our porch. It gets full sun and plants just cook, no matter how much I water them.
So, I finally decided enough was enough and switched to fake plants for the porch.
I am so much happier and I get so many compliments on them!
I wanted to round up some of my favorite looking faux plants in case you want to add them to your front porch, too!

Faux Plants for Planters
I love mixing up the plants in our front porch planter with the seasons. However, it can be expensive and they are so hard to keep looking good.
Here is the tutorial for how to build the DIY wooden planters at the top of our stairs!
Here are my favorite spring and summer faux plants for planters:
- Oversized Artificial Boston Ferns (currently in our planters!)
- Blue hydrangea planter
- Overflowing purple flowers
- Faux Monkey Grass
- Evergreen bush planter
- Faux Boxwood Balls
In the winter, I prefer to use these faux norfolk pines!
Faux Window Box Faux Plants
Finally, you might have a window box on your porch. Instead of under the window, ours is a DIY deck rail planter.
I enjoyed adding picks to give our window box a tropical look this season.
