Tour Our Cat Closet!

Looking to give your cat a special space all to their own? Come tour our cat closet and take a peek at the space that we made for our kitty in a linen closet.

I recently shared a video on Instagram about our cat closet and got such a strong response - I realized we had never actually shared the whole space here!

This space is actually the linen closet on the hallway of the second floor of our home.

When we moved in, we added a cat door and added the custom wooden litter box in this space.

And that's how the space stayed for several years. But, at the end of 2021, we were offered a fun opportunity to create some video content for Meow Mix. As a part of that project, we upgraded Bear's space to include a few extras.

Tour Our Cat Closet!

When you open the closet door, you see that we still use this space for linen storage. We do not have an issue with smells (her box gets scooped every other day) but we did have an issue with dust getting on things, so we keep everything in sealed bins.

You will see on the lower shelf is a simple wooden cat bed that Sean made for her, and some under-shelf lighting.

Beneath that shelf is Bear's zone. Sean built her wall mounted cat steps so she can get up and I added a dome-shaped acrylic cat bed for her to lounge in.

Additionally, Sean built her a self-filling cat food staton. We added a rug, framed pictures, and some other accessories to help it feel homey.

I love how this space turned out! It's a bit silly and over the top, and we never would have done all this without the Meow Mix job, but I am so glad that we did.

It's just something fun to make us smile every time we open this door!
