How to clean your bathroom in five minutes

Thank you Angel Soft® for sponsoring this post on how to clean your bathroom in five minutes. Ditch the spray and switch to Angel Soft® with Fresh Lavender Scented Tube.

I really enjoy having people come visit us. That’s lucky because since having the baby, we seem to have house guests most weekends!

What I don’t love about house guests is having to clean up before they get here. But, worse than cleaning would be having my guests think that I am a slob.

So, I have perfected the five minute bathroom clean. I use this method to give our guest bathroom a surface clean the day that guests are coming. Since the bathroom isn’t used regularly anyway, this is just a way to spruce things up.

A fast surface clean does not replace a deep clean, but is a great way to freshen up a space prior to guests arriving. Keep your monthly or bi-weekly deep clean on your calendar, but use this method to freshen up in between.

Here is the method that I use to quickly clean my bathroom.

Cleaning your bathroom in five minutes is all about knowing what to attack and how. It’s important to clean the surface of everything, but not spend too much time on it. Here’s how you break it down:

[30 seconds] The first thing that you want to do is empty the room. Pick up any bath products. Pick up the bath mats. Anything that is movable, move! I place them right outside the bathroom.

[30 seconds] Flush the toilet and apply toilet cleaner inside the bowl. Let sit.

[60 seconds] Wipe down the surfaces. I use a mixture of white vinegar + water to spray and then wipe with a lint-free cloth. Get the mirror, vanity top, top of the toilet tank, and any other visible surface.

[30 seconds] Use a toilet brush to scrub the inside of the toilet and flush.

[30 seconds] Use your cloth and cleaning spray to wipe off the toilet seat and the outside of the toilet.

[30 seconds] Empty the trash and replace the trash bag.

[60 seconds] Replace your moveable items back into their spots, being sure to fold neatly.

If you have extra time anywhere, refresh your grout with a grout pen. Here’s how!

[30 seconds] Swap out your toilet paper roll. Lately, I have been using  Angel Soft® with Fresh Lavender-Scented Tube. The scent is in the tube, so it works as toilet paper and a wonderful lavender air freshener! Plus, it’s great toilet paper that your guests will love.
