Ready to paint your bathroom? Here are the best green paint colors for a bathroom and tips for picking the perfect shade!

Bathrooms give you more creative freedom than you might think. If you’re looking to paint yours, you have tons of colors to choose from.

If you've narrowed down your bathroom paint-hunt to shades of green - you're in the right place. It’s the perfect color to add life and energy to that room!

Now, your next question will be: Which color green should I go with?

Well, today, I come to you with a list of the best green paint colors for the bathroom. Let’s get right to it!

the best green paint colors for a bathroom

What is the most popular bathroom paint color?

The most popular color scheme for a bathroom is a "spa-like" design. This of course could mean a lot of things to different people.

Most commonly it's something in the blue/gray or green/gray family.

A white bathroom is also very popular. However, steer clear of bright white and instead go for a creamy white to keep the space from feeling too cold.

How do I choose the right shade of green paint?

You want to first pick a vibe that you like - look for inspiration photos to decide light green, dark green, sage green, etc.

Get samples and test them in your actual space! Test them on multiple walls at all times of day. My Paint Color Formula shares the exact process I use to pick paint colors!

Here are my favorite green paint colors to use in a bathroom!

Sherwin Williams Topiary Tint

topiary tint

This light, desaturated color creates a soothing atmosphere that makes your bathroom feel like a modern spa.

Who wouldn’t love that? After all, people go to spas to relax, which is what bathrooms are all about.

Think about it: You go home from a stressful day at work and are desperate to take a hot shower.

You enter the bathroom and are met with this soothing color. I bet that shower will be ten times more relaxing!

Sherwin Williams Sea Salt

Sea Salt is one of, if not the, most popular light green paint colors that there is. This green-gray paint color is so bright and airy, it's basically a neutral.

This is such a good option for adding a touch of green to your space, without at all feeling overwhelming.

Plus, with it's blue/green undertones, it really plays well with both warm and cool toned fixtures like tile.

Behr Jojoba

jojoba

Some say sitting in a jojoba-painted bathroom for an hour is like having a therapy session.

Okay, I made that up, but you get the idea! It may not be like therapy, but it’s definitely therapeutic. It creates an atmosphere of stability, balance, and harmony.

This shade in particular has a nice level of saturation - color without being too dark or bright, and pretty gray undertones that keep it pretty neutral, not too warm or too cool.

It pairs well with other colors like whites, browns, blues, and tans. So, whatever aesthetics you’re going for, jojoba can fit in.

Benjamin Moore Quiet Moments

BM quiet moments

You probably already heard of Benjamin Moore’s Quiet Moments. It’s gotten a lot of hype these past few months, with good reason. It creates a relaxing, tranquil environment, perfect for bathrooms.

That’s not the only selling point this color has, though. You see, Quiet Moments is a combination of blue, green, and gray.

Depending on the lighting in your bathroom, it might shift toward the blue or gray tones.

This makes it fun to decorate with - different accessories and accents change how it reads!

Because of that, you want to be sure to swatch and sample the color before committing. Review the color day and night to be sure you like it in all lighting situations!

Benjamin Moore Guilford Green

Guilford Green

The bathroom is usually the smallest room in the house, and the vibes of that cramped space can be off-putting to some people. Well, Guilford Green can come to your rescue.

The gentle hue and warm undertones can make your bathroom look more spacious than it actually is.

Overall, this is a great option to pair with existing warm finishes like brown tiles. The colors will complement each other nicely.

Sherwin Williams Watery

watery

We painted the half bathroom in our previous home Watery. We also used this color for our front door, kitchen island, and the bathroom vanity upstairs!

Watery is a light toned blue-green paint color. It's spa-like and beachy and a really easy color to decorate with!

Benjamin Moore Pistachio

If you are looking for a light but bright green paint color, I’d recommend going with this one. It’s cool enough to create a relaxing atmosphere, yet warm enough to add a playful, energetic aura to your bathroom.

This shade might seem borderline neon in the swatch, but when paired with lots of tile, a shower, mirrors, and a vanity, it will actually be played down a bit.

Because of this, it can be a fun place to play around with a bold color like this one!

Behr Growing Season

Growing Season

As the name suggests, this color aims to convey growth and security. The calm, soothing tones perfectly reflect the beauty of the natural world.

They evoke optimism, unity, and balance. If that doesn’t tempt you to use it, I don’t know what will.

This shade has warm, but not yellow, undertones. It's a great way to add color and warmth to a bathroom space!

Benjamin Moore Bath Salts

Benjamin Moore Bath Salts

Bath Salts is a simple, timeless color that can bring out the beauty of your bathroom. This one combines comfort and energy, a perfect combination for this room.

Add that to its refreshing tint, and your bathroom might just become your favorite room in the house.

Beacuse of the minty blue undertones, this is a great option to use if you have cooler undertones in your bathroom - like gray toned tiles.
