Prepping for Painting- Patching Holes in the Wall

We are slowly working our way through my condo, painting all of the walls. This past weekend we worked on the master bedroom.

Before we could paint, however, we had to fill some of the holes left by the previous tenant. If there are just tiny nail holes, I usually just paint over them, but there was a section of the wall that had big holes from something major.

Yucky. So, Sean filled them for me! He used wood filler and a putty knife to originally apply it.

In the end, it was a lot easier for him to use his finger to fill the holes.

Then, he let the filler dry for 15 minutes before sanding it. Then, you just have to let it dry for 2 hours before painting.

This was a quick and easy project but made sure that our paint job turned out absolutely perfect!

Have you been prepping for any projects lately?

Check in tomorrow to see before and afters of my master bedroom's paint job and to see what color I picked!
