Facebook Marketplace is a free way to buy and sell locally. It is kind of like Craigslist. (here are my tips for buying on Craigslist). However, I prefer Facebook Marketplace to Craigslist.
I love that Facebook Marketplace lets you see who is doing the selling or buying. Checking out their profile often makes me feel better about meeting up with them.
I also love how visual the marketplace is. Everything is arranged as a grid of images, unlike Craigslist which is all text. It makes it easy to scan with your eyes for things that interest you.
Facebook Marketplace is also really smart. It learns your preferences over time and starts to show you more of what you like and less of what you don't.

How do I get to Facebook Marketplace?
On your computer, the icon is on the far left under NEWS FEED. It looks like a little store.
On your phone, look for the little marketplace icon on the far bottom. For me, it is second from the left, right next to the news feed.
