Want to decorate your home for Halloween - without a ton of clutter? Here's how to set up a super simple Halloween gallery wall!

It's not a secret that I absolutely love decorating for Halloween and I love to decorate as many different surfaces in spots in our home as we can. It's just so fun!

One space it doesn't get very much decor around here is the second floor of our house. There just aren't a lot of shelves or surfaces to decorate, it's mostly things we use every day.

But, we do have this gallery wall in the hall outside the kids bedrooms. I had a lot of fun setting up a Christmas movie gallery wall here and so this year I decided to decorated for Halloween too!

This is a grid-style gallery wall with 8 frames, making it a great size to decorate.

Anyways, here's the tutorial for how I set up the art and the gallery wall!

Super Simple Halloween Gallery Wall

Here's how easy it is to set up this gallery wall!

Supplies needed:

  • Computer with Canva or similar photo editing software
  • Printer + printer paper
  • Wall frames
  • Optional: Halloween decor like wall bats!

Steps to create:

STEP 1: Prepare

First, you need to pull your art for your frames. Decide how many frames you want to do and brainstorm a list of your favorite Halloween characters or movies to pull from.

I don't want to link to my images for copyright issues, but I used:

  • Vamparina
  • Spookly the Square Pumpkin
  • Frankenstein
  • Casper the friendly ghost
  • Ghostbusters

For each, I pulled the image into an 8"x10" canvas on Canva and used the "background remover" tool to get rid of the background and just have the character.

STEP 2: Print

Print! I suggest using cardstock if possible. If you can't print at home, you can send to Staples, Office Depot, or similar for printing.

STEP 3: Frame

Add to your frames.

Ideally, you will just be replacing the art in frames in a gallery wall you already have. That makes this super quick and easy!

STEP 4: Decorate!

Optionally, you can add extra decorations. Maybe wall decals, a garland, or any spooky wall decor you have!
