I have been having so much fun this year leaning more into decorating for the holidays.

My kids are the perfect age - 4 and 6 years old - to really get into every holiday.

Nothing is more "Easter" than Easter eggs. I recently picked up a pack of eggs and saw they had holes in either end.

I guess the holes are for drainage if they get wet? Or maybe air flow?

Honestly, I have no idea, but it makes it so easy to string them up and create a garland!

These are so easy to make and are perfect for your mantel, stairway, or anywhere you want a fun Easter touch!

How to make an easy DIY Easter egg garland

This Easter garland is so easy to make! Here's how to do it!

Supplies needed:

• Easter eggs - must have holes in TOP and BOTTOM (like these!)
• Twine
• Scissors
• Embroidery needle

Steps to make:

STEP 1: Prep the Eggs

Pull out the eggs and decide if you want a pattern. If so, lay out the eggs in that pattern.

STEP 2: Thread the Needle

Thread the twine through your thread and pull the string so it is secure.

You might can tie this off with a knot, depending on if the holes in your eggs are large enough for a knot to get through. Otherwise, just keep an eye on it that it stays threaded!

STEP 3: String the Eggs

String the needle up through the bottom of the egg and up and out the top. It's easiest to do this with the egg open, and then snap it together once it's fully threaded.

My eggs have 2 holes each on the top and bottom. I tried to go diagonal across the egg to get the eggs to hang straight, but I'm not sure how much that really mattered.

STEP 4: Repeat

Repeat for each egg. Make sure they are all facing the same direction (thicker/bottom pointing in the same direction for each).

Repeat in your pattern until you've reached your desired length.

STEP 5: Tie Off

Tie a knot in the string right up against the last egg. Repeat on the other side and trim the twine. Leave enough excess to be able to tie and hang.

STEP 6: Hang

You can either tie a loop and hang from a hook or nail or leave enough excess twine to tie directly to place you are hanging it.
