The Kitchen

One of the biggest selling points of my condo was the upgraded and updated kitchen. I am head over heels in love with the quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances – they are a luxury that I was sure was out of my budget!

Here’s how the kitchen looked when I first moved in:

The first thing we did was give everything  a coat of Summer Breeze paint while painting the living room and dining room. This really gave the whole space the beachy coastal feel that I was looking for. I contemplated painting the cabinets white, but the wood was really high quality and pretty new, so I left them.

We added a baking shelf and then a whole baking cabinet! This was so convenient for me, since I love baking so much.

We also made a DIY pasta knife block

We hung this collage next to the fridge: It is photos that I took of different foods and meals.

Sean completely redid our pantry. This project was so simple but really made a huge impact! I can’t believe how much more I loved our pantry after we got rid of those crappy metal shelves.

Instead of adding a tile backsplash, we decided to paint one. This was a great way to get a backsplash for almost free and with no special tools.

While the kitchen started out awesome, we made a ton of great updates to it along the way. Can’t wait to do even more in the kitchen in our new house!
