I recently shared how we updated our couch with a simple, stretchy slipcover. We’re still loving it, but I am really looking to break up the matchy-matchy feel of the tan couch on the tan carpet. My plan to do this is to get a big rug.

 Covering a Couch - Charleston Crafted

Unfortunately, rugs are really expensive. I’ve never bought a large rug before and really had no idea! Here is some of my current inspiration. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a good deal on one of them.

This Magical Thinking Rock Rug is really cool. It makes me think of a geode or sandstone or something really cool from nature. The colors are also perfect for our space! However, it does not come in large sizes. {via Urban Outfitters, 3×5′ $44}

STOCKHOLM Rug, flatwoven IKEA The durable, soil-resistant wool surface makes this rug perfect in your living room or under your dining table.

I love the modern look of this Stockholm rug. It’s fun and modern. However, it totally doesn’t go with the “feel” we have going on in our living room. Too bad for now! {via Ikea, 5’7″x10’11”, $199}

Multistriped Flat-Weave Wool Rug

I am super inspired by the stripes in this Multi Striped Flat Weave Wool Rug. I love that there are different sizes of stripes but that it is still very symmetrical. However, it is too many different colors for my room. {via Garnet Hill, 5×8′, $348}
