We made something really yummy the other night & I am so excited it share it with y’all.

I love naughty foods, but I also really love salads. Any time I can combine the two is win-win for me. The beauty in this salad is that you still get all the good stuff – but by using way more veggies than you would on a burger, you eat less of the “bad” stuff (in this case meat, cheese, or bun). I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Cheeseburger Salad

Serves 2

What you need:

1 head romaine lettuce, chopped

1 small tomato, chopped

¼ red onion, chopped

12 gerkin pickles, sliced (or use sliced pickles – that’s just what we had on hand)

½ lb hamburger meat (we used turkey), cooked in a pan

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

3 slices turkey bacon, torn into bites

Dressing – I made my own honey mustard, but store bought would be fine:

                1 table spoon brown mustard

                1 teaspoon mustard

                1 tablespoon olive oil

                1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

                1 teaspoon honey

                Garlic, salt, pepper, to taste

Chop everything & combine on a plate. Enjoy!
